Tri-City Boundary Review

Consultation has concluded

During discussions about configuration changes in Cold Lake, NLPS received several requests for the division to review the transportation boundaries in Cold Lake. Currently, students who live in the Tri-City area are included in the boundary for Cold Lake South and can access busing to North Star Elementary for Kindergarten to Grade 6. They are also eligible for transportation to Art Smith Aviation Academy. However, some families indicated they would like the Tri-City area to be included in the transportation boundaries for the north, so that students could be bused to Cold Lake Elementary School (K-3) and Nelson Heights School (4-6).

As we are implementing our final configuration changes this year (North Star becomes K-6, Nelson Heights 4-6 and Cold Lake Junior High 7-9), we are seeking feedback from families who currently live in the Tri-City area about changing our transportation boundaries and the impact this would have on their families.

Please provide your feedback by completing the survey below. If you have questions you would like to ask before completing the survey, please submit them in the Ask a Question section.

The deadline to complete the survey is Thursday, June 1st.
