decisions, decisions

Last summer, we were consumed with making the best decision for our son. Which option would provide the best learning opportunity, with the fewest interruptions, with the most flexibility? After careful consideration of every option, a truthful analysis of the potential impacts on our home life, and upgrading our internet service, we chose LTA - Learning Together Anywhere. In hind sight, our biggest driver was which option would give us the most certainty. We didn't want repeated interruptions due to student/staff Covid isolation requirements, we didn't want to fluctuate between in class and online learning, and we wanted to have as much control as possible over how the recommended Covid guidelines were implemented in his life. What we got was an incredible learning opportunity with teachers who deliver engaging lesson plans, in a highly interactive virtual platform that allows our son to customize his learning experience while ensuring he is learning the essentials. Currently, he is training for a 5km during DPA, taking part in math enrichment classes, and has, on occasion, logged in to class from the parking lot of a ski hill. We chose LTA as an avoidance tactic, we stay because it meets our needs during a global pandemic, and we would return because we see value in the flexibility this option affords our "normally" active family.
