As part of our It Starts with Hope project, we have created a number of ways everyone can contribute to conversations about hope, the role it plays in our lives and how we can grow hope in our families and communities. Our goal is to share messages of hope with as many people as possible and raise awareness of the impact hope has on mental health.

  • Brinlee Beats Cancer

    This story of Hope started Nov 4, 2020 when my 15month old granddaughter, Brinlee Untereiner, was diagnosed with cancer, stage 4 neuroblastoma. This was obviously shocking and devistating news for our family. As we tried to navigate what that meant for Brinlee and our family, the communities of Bonnyville, Cold Lake and Lloydminster, family members, business owners, churches, friends, acquaintances and staff of NLPS came together to support us.   • Sharing Our Strength

    Growing up my Dad helped many people with delivering food and clothing to some in need. I can remember going to these places with him and he never said a thing to me. After his passing in 2007 his best friend explained what my Dad was doing when we went on those trips and said he never wanted any praise for these things that's why he didn't say a thing.
